MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Call To Order:

The Meeting of the Southwest Lincoln County Water District was called to order at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday,
January 10, 2018, by Chairman Donald Tucker.
|
Present: | The Board members present were Donald Tucker, Robert Whitson, Jon Culton, Gary Hodges and William Turner. Also present were Andy Bacigalupo, Carla Young, Megan Jones and David Whitlock.
|
Conflict of Interest: | Donald Tucker asked if there were any “Conflicts of Interest”. None were stated.
|
Minutes: | The minutes of the December 13, 2017 regular board meeting minutes were reviewed. Gary Hodges made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Robert Whitson seconded the motion and the minutes were approved.

Bills: | The Board discussed the bills for December 2017. Gary Hodges made a motion to approve the bills for payment; William Turner seconded the motion and the bills were approved for payment.

Emergency Meeting Minutes:
|
Gary Hodges made a motion to approve the emergency meeting minutes; Robert Whitson seconded the motion and the minutes were approved.

Treasury Report:
|
The Treasury Report as of December 31, 2017, was as follows: the balance of the investments 11/30/17 of $679,146.47 was comprised of—General Fund, $91,173.69; Construction Fund, $95,261.91; Equipment Fund, $22538.19; Water Works Fund, $244,703.09, Revenue Bond Fund, $231,136.49 and SDWRF Reserve Fund, $2,915.89. With a transfer from checking, bond payment of $128,940 and the addition of interest for December of 748.66 balance in investment accounts is $550,953.20 as of December 31, 2017.

Azalea Park letter:
|
Donald Tucker asked about a letter to the developers of the recreational vehicle park on Azalea outlining our policy on this development. Carla Young will write a letter for David Whitlock’s signature informing them of our policy.
|
Grants: | Donald Tucker asked about the availability of grants for projects in the District such as replacing meters, replacing AC pipe, installing a new storage tank at Dick’s Fork plant, etc. Carla Young and David Whitlock will work together to research grants that may be available to the District. |

Wage Analysis: | Carla Young was requested to do a wage analysis of surrounding communities to see how current wages compare.

Adjournment: | William Turner made a motion to adjourn the meeting; Jon Culton seconded the motion and the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 A.M. |
